Sour Cream, 1/4 Cup

Ingredients
- 1/2 lb strawberries
- 2 tbsp orange flavored liqueur or 1/2 tbsp orange zest + 2 tbsp orange juice
- 1/2 cup confectionary sugar (split into 2 equal portions)
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup whipping cream
- Kosher salt
- Optional topping: mint leaves
- Optional topping: Crumbles Diamond Head Bakery Shortbread Cookies
Directions
- Rinse and drain strawberries thoroughly. Remove stems, halve the strawberries, and place them in a mixing bowl. Combine with 1/4 cup of confectionery sugar, orange-flavored liqueur, and a pinch of salt (approximately 1/4 tsp). Mix well and allow the mixture to sit for 10 minutes to ensure the sugar dissolves.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine whipping cream and 1/4 cup of confectioney sugar. Utilizing a hand mixer, whip the cream until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold in 1/4 cup of sour cream using a rubber spatula until thoroughly combined. Transfer the mixtue to the refrigerator and allow it to set for 10 minutes.
- Stir the strawberries and transfer them to a serving dish. Top with the prepared cream and garnish with optional toppings as desired.
